About Me
My name is Isabella Valdez, or as I like to go by Izzy, and I am a Visual Communication Design student at Eastern Washington University. My whole life I’ve wanted to do nothing but create and make things to show people and be proud of. I aspire to create in anyway possible and spread positivity and fun wherever I reach. I am skilled in numerous areas of design and creativity in general, striving to achieve organization with a hint of rebellion along the way. On a more personal level, I wouldn’t consider myself rebellious (rather far from it) but I do love the aesthetic. I’m interested in lots of things design and art related: comics and graphic novels, animation in both 2D and 3D, UX, coding, and recently I’ve been loving more tactile prints like posters. I hope you know enough about me at this point :)
Recipe
This is a recipe site I created for brownies. It was the first site that I used CSS on so it was my way of testing the different methods of stylizing using color for text and background as well as images and alignment tools.
Tribute
This is a tribute site that I created for the late Robin Williams. I made the site fairly professional and worked hard picking colors and fonts for this site. I created a timeline of his life, added captions to pictures, and learned the basics of making a site look well designed.
Field Guide
The following is a field guide I created for the popular game Dead By Daylight. I created this site with a sticky nav bar that allows you to click and automatically scroll into the different sections. I also made this guide available on mobile devices using breakpoints. This was the first time using flexbox which was quite the experience to say the least.
Landing Page
Finally, this is a product landing page I created for an Ibanez bass guitar. I really wanted to lean into the grunge aesthetic and, now knowing a lot more about coding, I was far reaching in adding animations, hero images, tables that lead to outward sites, forms that are required, checkboxes, hover animations, and much more. I am the most proud of this site because it is an amalgamation of all that I have learned over this quarter and it turned out really cool.
